<p>Haha, so if like my science teacher gives a pretty good rec and my history teacher gives like a so-so one, will that be a make or break factor? (assuming everything else is alright)</p>

<p>Why ask a teacher to give you a reference if you think it will be anything other than sparkling?</p>
<p>What you expect a teacher to give, and what they actually deliver can be quite different. I received an incredible recommendation from my english teacher last year, and I expected the same from my biology teacher. Reading it after the fact I found that it really was just ok. Sure, she had great things to say, but she didn’t really make me out to be any more than an average “good student.” In the end, it all worked out fine. Try not to stress :)</p>
