if the parents think the 18/19/20 year old is missing?

or is it seen as bad etiquette? does anyone know about whether police will even respond if parents call the police on a person who’s legally an adult?

what about the 40 year old who suddenly vanishes from his parents’ basement?

For a missing persons report, the police will take it regardless of age. The police can’t bring the person back home if they’re legally an adult.

well, 18, 19, 20 year olds aren’t children, they are adults. The parents may call that they are missing, sure, but they are allowed to leave if they want…they are no longer have guardians.

That being said, it does sound like a fun thing to do, if it’s not permanent and a fair bit of it is planned out. :)

(It’s about time you stop sitting by your computer planning out hypotheticals and started living anyhow. Get to know the real world. It likes you.)

Screw them. If you plan it out well, you won’t get caught. You just have to plan it out well.
Just leave a note to the effect of “I’m 18 and I’m taking a vacation because I can,” or something like that. You know, just to prove a point.
