I was reading an old post, from about 2005, where posters were saying Pharmacy was a great option for part time work, and one guy said an idea would be to (while working part time as a pharmacist) was to get a Master’s in ChemE or Chemistry or something. Is this a viable option?

My father did fill-in work for a large retail chain after retiring. He would get called to work when the normal store pharmacists was sick or on vacation. He could pick the days he wanted to work.

Pharmacists can work at all hours and on weekends. I would think you should be able to find something that would leave time for school. However, if your goal is not be a Pharmacist then getting a pharmacy degree just so you can study something else seems like it would be alot of additional work for limited benefit.

dont confuse being a pharmacist (which happens after you go to college for 4 years, then pharmacy school for 4 years) and being a pharm tech.

pharm tech could work part-time. few of my friends do it currently while going to school (although one dropped to start doing research).

If you own your own pharmacy you definitely can. There is a pharmacy near me owned by two pharmacists and they just split the days, one works a few days a week and the other the rest.
