Sorry, couldn’t find the answer on Google. Can PSEO students study abroad? If so, is it free or do they have to pay extra?

I’m sure it wouldn’t be free. I’m not sure who gets advice from Study and Travel office at the U of MN, but probably anyone who walks in the door can ask basic questions and pick up brochures.

I’ll bet you are allowed to do it, seeing as PSEO students are supposed to have the same status in nearly all areas as regular U students do. However you will probably pay nearly as much as anyone else. Keep in mind that while PSEO pays for tuition, they never pay for room and board. You will probably be paying all travel costs and accommodations, but maybe PSEO will pay for the credit itself.

Do you really want to study abroad for an extended term while still in high school? I would highly recommend the may session global seminars… you will get a taste of a study abroad experience for a smaller price tag. Then if you enjoy it, you can do a full session once you are in college.

Thanks for the info.

I focus on a foreign language so studying abroad would be really useful if I had all my other HS grad req’s out of the way. That’s why I’m thinking about studying abroad in the second sem of my sr year.
