I currently can only take Math IIC and Physics. If it can’t be replaced at Yale, I need to attempt Chinese. Baddd… By the way, I’m from Singapore.
Do Singaporeans need to take the ACT writing test? Yale requests it, according to the online application instructions, but I’m not sure whether it applies to intnls.
And if I take my SATs in May and SAT II in June, will the scores be on time for submission for EA this year?
Er, and how are the porfolio submission guidelines?

Lots of questions, answers much much appreciated. ^^

btw, my A level subjects are Maths, Geog, Physics and Art. With Geog S paper.

No, you must take three SAT II tests.
You can take the SAT I or the ACT. In order to take the ACT writing test, you would obviously need to take the ACT. The writing part is, if I recall correctly, optional, which is why they request it.
Taking SAT and SAT II’s at that time is plenty of time. Unless the due dates for internationals are different (they could be), you would actually be able to take the SAT or SAT II during the October testing cycle.

Dude even if u test in november it will reach the admission office in time if u put them on the first 4 the scores are reported to…if u are sciency i think u can manage Chemistry or Bio…or just take Math level 1… it is taken as a third subject…a lot of my friends have given that as a third subject for admission in 2006 and the adcomms have no problem with that.

What I taken it as on the website is that I could subsititute SATS II with A levels on a one for one basis. Meaning that Physics-Physics, Maths-Maths. Meaning I can’t sub in my Geog, my best subject. I think. SOMEONE CORRECT ME AND MAKE ME HAPPY! heh.

You can’t take both Maths I and Math II right?

“Students enrolled in A-level programs may use completed A-level results as a substitute for the SAT II Subject Tests on a one-for-one basis provided official test results arrive at Yale by February (of the year of entry).” That’s from p. 50 of the prospectus under the section headed “International Students.” But given that timing, you are looking at a gap year if you want to use your A-levels in place of the subject SATs. And by ‘completed A-level results,’ they mean A2s, not A/S.
