Can Sat scores reliably predict PSAT score?

If a student got a perfect or near perfect score (2380-2400) on SAT, what score can she/he expect on PSAT under normal conditions without prep. a few weeks later?

Thanks for all inputs!

I would predict a 230-240, as the PSAT is a little more succeptible to higher score fluctuation than the SAT because there are less questions and thus the questions are worth more points. Also, there is no essay and that could have an impact on your scores as well. I also know of one person (silverturtle) who got a 232 on the PSAT but a 2400 on the SAT. Although if you are only aiming for national merit, you should be fine for every state, even states like Massachusetts that have high cutoff scores.
