I have a 4.0 GPA, and I’m applying for admission to the 11th grade on these schools. I’m Brazilian, low income, first gen.

ESSAYS, LoRs and Interview

My essays were pretty good in the story-telling and content meaning, but the writing part is not at its best since I’m a non-native speaker.

I submitted 4 LoRs and all of them were pretty good too.

About the interview, in Exeter it was the best interview in my life and a 10/10. About Andover, it was good but could be better, maybe a 8/10.

EXTRACURRICULARS

-RESEARCH ABOUT AI AND SUSTAINABILITY COMPETING IN BRAZIL’s BIGGEST SCIENCE FAIR

-MATH OLYMPIAD WINNER IN NATIONAL, STATE AND SCHOOL LEVELS

-PASSION PROJECT (and non-profit) ABOUT MATH AND AI

-BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU BLUE BELT AND COMPETITOR

-MULTIPLE HOURS OF VOLUNTEER WORK AND FOUNDER OF A GROUP IN ONE ONG.

-MATH TUTOR and STUDENT COUNCIL LEADER

And that’s it. I also submitted a 1400 SAT and 130 Duoling English Test.

Im not sure any of us can chance you. You’re clearly qualified and have a bright future, but these schools take very few students at your point in high school, and presumably the competition is quite fierce. Good luck, and let us know how it works out!

I know about how difficult is to get in to a 11th grade student, but I “discovered” about this opportunity this year so I couldn’t apply earlier. Thank you so much for your feedback and opinion, I saw your kid’s application and it’s very qualified too. I hope we both get what we want, thank you and in March I’ll let you know. Good luck too!

Thank you so much! Do you think is there a real chance? Like I’m happy because I did my best but the anxiety is hitting hard

You are very well qualified as an all around student and citizen. As an international student from Brazil, you would add meaningful diversity to either campus.

Slots are limited for the junior year, but you are an outstanding candidate.

I hope that you are admitted to both of your top choice schools, however,my estimate of your chance of admission is just an educated guess.
