<p>A couple of weeks ago I created a profile on a website, purely for personal reasons. It’s sort of like a portfolio site. Every time someone visits this profile it lets me know where they can from. </p>
<p>I also noticed that the locations often correlate with the locations of the colleges I get spam emails from.
Do colleges actually search each student before they send an email, or is there some other explanation?</p>
