Essay Question
According to Henry David Thoreau, “One is not born into the world to do everything, but to do something.” What is your something?

I was born to make the world a better place. I exist for the sole purpose of
advancing the world through means of science and math. My something is becoming a world renowned scientist; known for both awesome achievements and reality shifting discoveries. Even if my love for science was to perish, helping people in general would be my something.
Innately, I am both logical and observant; which are two qualities that make a great scientist. Unconsciously, I make careful calculations throughout the day and ask myself a series of questions before tackling even the most basic tasks. Because science can be applied to everything, I apply it to everything. My naturally scientific mind allows me to understand and apply concepts in a different way then most people. It is because of these things, that my something is becoming a great scientist, succeeded by none! Unfortunately, having a scientific brain can sometimes be a burden. My way of thinking constantly clashes with religion, making attending catholic school a daily struggle.
As a future scientist, I hope to help mankind understand how the world and everything around it functions. I want my discoveries and research to help people in every reach of the world! The goal of my research will be to help the entire world, not just a specific portion; sharing my knowledge with everyone and not merely a few. I will aim to reach new heights and destroy the common perception of what is accepted as science by introducing foreign, unexplored topics. Combining science with my near limitless imagination, I hope to evolve science to a level never before witnessed. I want to share a tier with scientists such as “Albert Einstein”, “Issac Newton”, and “Stephen Hawkings”. I greatly desire to be important. . . to be known. Nothing would feel greater then the entire world using my scientific advances as the new standards for science.
Even if my love for science did not exist, my unyielding compassion would be my “give” to the world. I absolutely love helping other people, even if by minimal amounts. I do what I can to assist people, even if self sacrifice is necessary. I would quite literally give a person the shirt off of my back if I thought it would help them. Even when I was living in a homeless shelter, assisting the truly homeless (people who were even less fortunate then me) via money or change was one of my top priorities. When I have absolutely nothing to give, I still give.
My something is science; to help humanity understand how the world functions, to change the world with the subject I love the most, and become a legendary scientist known by all. . . to completely rewrite the laws of science, evolve science, and share my knowledge with the entire world. My something is compassion, to assist everyone I can, everywhere I go and make a true difference with kindness. . . to donate to a charity in need or simply make a person smile.
