Right now I’m enrolled in:
General Chem 1 w/lab
Calculus 1
Geol 101 w/lab
All together I will only have 11 credits. Should I take another class or will it be too much? I was thinking of taking a foreign language just for fun since I’ve already finished all my Gen Ed courses. Or should I just take 11 credits next semester?
What kind of school – does 11 credits make you a part-time student? Will that affect anything like financial aid?
11 credits is considered part time at my school although I will still be able to get financial aid for those 3 classes.
I would double check because typically being part time surrenders a big chunk of financial aid.
Is there a reason that you’re taking so few credits in the first place? Do you have a job or other time commitments that would make an additional class overwhelming? If not, I’d recommend just adding on an elective to be on the safe side in terms of FA (as well as the pedagogical value of taking another course.)
