<p>Mount Holyoke requires an additional graded essay for the admissions process. I wrote them an e-mail explaining that I’m a private A-Levels student and don’t have graded essays and they told me that I should write an additional short essay on the topic of my choice. Now, they’re going to be getting my regular essay, which already pretty much portrays my personality. I don’t want my second essay to be a repeat of the first or to bore them to death so I went with something a little different. I began the essay describing a person’s physical appearence and then their personality, to show that what you look like doesn’t define who you are. Then I explained how people judge me by what I wear, and don’t take me for a normal person - but if they were to take a moment to find out more, they’d probably be surprised to learn that I’m a lot like them.</p>
<p>My first essay was about my love of writing, so the beginning of the second adds to that - but it’s also fictional. I’m describing someone I made up, rather than talking solely about myself throughout the essay - is this dangerous? Or is it okay, because it’s an additional essay?</p>
