Can taking Pre-Calc as a senior decrease my chances of Stanford?

Classes:
Freshman Year: Concert Band, Study Hall, Spanish 1, World History, PE, Geometry, English
Sophomore Year: PE, Spanish 2, English 2, AP Euro, Comp Prog, Biology, Algebra 2

Thanks for reading this far peeps! Anyone think I can get into Stanford, UC Berkeley, UC Davis and UCLA?

Calculate UC GPA: <a href=“GPA Calculator for the University of California – RogerHub”>http://rogerhub.com/gpa-calculator-uc/</a>
You have competitive test scores and very good EC’s. Your GPA is in range for all the schools.

Stanford: Reach (it is for everyone)
UCB/UCLA: High Match
UCD: Match

Thx @Gumbymom‌ but what are your thoughts on a senior with pre-calc?

I think taking Pre-Calculus as a Senior will hurt your chances. I would imagine that the majority of Stanford applicants would have finished AP Calculus BC and probably have 1 community college Math class under their belt. What is your intended major? Based on your EC’s, you have no specific focus. I agree it is a laundry list. They may help in establishing that you are well rounded, but schools like Stanford want some kind of passion to show through with your EC’s.

depends on major

Agree with Gumbymom. Does precalculus even count as a credited course for a university? Most applicants have finished Calc BC by the end of senior year.

You might get your mother in trouble for saying you learn about her patients. It sounds unethical to share patient information without patient permission, and the issue for a psychiatrist could be more serious than the issue for a podiatrist or allergist. Please check HIPAA guidelines.

bump

BUMP BUMP BUMPITY BUMP

bump

bump like now
…

depends on what your school offers, do you have honors calc, AP Calc AB, AP Calc BC offered at school? If so then it will hurt

Well this is is a silly question: YES!!!
