I had gotten accepted to a school that was sort of a reach.
When I got accepted I was accepted on the basis that I would do their transition program which is basically me only taking 12 credits and having to have monthly advising meetings. I was totally okay with this and semi excited that I was going to be getting individual support.
This last semester I needed to take a PE class and a wellness class for my high school graduation requirements and I did poorly in those classes. Because of a injury I ended up with a D in PE and a C+ in the wellness class. The PE class was extremely tough for me physically which resulted to me having a bad grade. I ended up with average grades in my core classes (B+, A-, B+, C) my school has the same grade percentage when it comes to B+’ and A- and my GC says I’ll be okay because my core subject grades are fine but I’m having major anxiety that they’ll take back my acceptance.
I was wondering if admissions reps rule out classes that aren’t core classes and if they will show some mercy when it comes to electives. According to my core grades I’m perfectly where I need to be but I’m worried those bad grades will stand out and result to me no longer being able to go there in the fall.
