Can this hinder admission?

If my overall high school GPA is relatively high (94+) but some years were lower (i.e. freshman 92, sophomore 93.5, junior 96) can the specific year GPAs look bad and hinder admission into an Ivy League/Top 50 school, even though the average high school GPA is of an Ivy/Top 50 caliber?

bummmmpppp

those are fantastic. No, you won’t be.

What if I decide not to reply to anything?

It hinders your class rank so yes; in that way it does hinder admission into ivy league caliber schools.

Some people have 4 solid years of great grades ,forgetting all the other stuff ,so I would say yes .

Ivies look for GPA as well as trends in GPA. Since your overall GPA has increased throughout high school, it shouldn’t be too much of a hindrance.

Lots of good schools (Stanford, the UCs) don’t even look at your freshman year grades. Most good schools give more weight to later years anyway. And yes, it might hurt your class rank, but many schools don’t rank students at all. If your high school doesn’t, and you are taking the most rigorous schedule available, then you are fine.

I have 5 Bs. 4 junior and 1 first sem senior. Got into Penn RD

Iam also Asian. Not in toP 10%

My school doesn’t rank at all because it’s very small but I feel like these 93s look bad
