One of my friends is a transgender women applying to many colleges that have a suite system. Is being transgender a viable medical reason for requesting a single? She is fine sharing a suite but she doesn’t want to share a room because she has not had surgery yet and would like to be able to change privately.
This is kind of an unusual question but I had literally no idea when she asked me, so I figured I would ask all of you!
I think this is perfectly reasonable. I can’t imagine the housing director turning down such a request.
