Hi, is it administratively a bad idea to apply abroad (i.e. UK through UCAS) while enrolled as a freshman in a US institution?
I would like to have the UK option open for next year, but I’m not 100% sure that I want to transfer/lose my seat at my current university.
Would sending out a UCAS application in this way jeopardize my acceptance to the US school, or expose me to any other possible sanctions?
Thanks for the help.
I don’t see anything wrong with it. Students transfer for all sorts of reasons and at any time. But please don’t go into your college with the whole intent to transfer. Give the school a chance.
No- it would be just like any other student who enters as a freshman and applies to other schools as a transfer applicant.
Unless you mean try to apply for this upcoming year (like try to get into a freshman class at a UK school)- then that could jeopardize your enrollment in the US college.
