One EC Essay: I decided to learn how to play guitar after I realized that I listened to music solely for its lyrics and neglected the instrumental sounds. I wanted
to change this, so I bought an acoustic guitar and began self-teaching. For me, the guitar is an opportunity to forgo my surroundings and
concentrate on finger movements and the resulting sounds. Each new chord I learn brings about something with new feelings and a greater
opportunity for creativity. It also opens up doors for blending music with writing, two of my favorite activities. I look forward to being able to play
my favorite songs, which would certainly allow for a greater understanding of the music. In addition to all of that, learning to play the guitar
instills a greater sense of melody, which makes all music better.

I can PM my main essay if anyone is willing to read it. I feel like if there is a hook, it is my passion for creative writing, and that is, I believe, expressed very well in that essay. I have also included a creative writing portfolio, most of which was done at columbia university over the summer.

Thanks guys. If there is anything else I could add, please let me know and I will.

You seem right at the median stats-wise, so if your “hook” really does shine through in your essay, I think you’ll probably get in.
But you’re definitely a “match”.

Definitely a match. That’s reassuring, then.

Thanks haha.

Definitely a match. Unless you’re not. In that case, make alternate plans.

You’re bordering on stalkeresque, SwatGrad. Bitter, much? Stop being a creep.

I’m watching you, waitingwishing. Watching.

Chill. Go hate on Haverford or something.
