Can you change your major if you are accepted as a transfer?

Im currently a political science major (incoming freshman) at the university of hawaii at manoa. I want to transfer to UCLA for junior year, but Im wondering if its possible to change my major to business if im accepted. Is it too late change my major to business right now? I’ve already registered for my classes for the first semester.

If you are transferring, you don’t “change” your major, you “apply” to the BizEcon major (UCLA does not offer a major in Business Administration, only in Business Economics). As long as you complete the major prerequisite requirements for BizEcon, UCLA is not going to care what major you have at University of Hawaii.

In other words, yes. You can change your major, but may have to spend and extra quarter or two fulfilling your requirements.

I know a lot of people don’t get accepted into the BizEcon major and choose to major in Economics instead. I don’t know what your future career plans are, but just thought I’d let you know.
