Can YOU get a 1300? Or..

Can any average B- or B+ student get 650+on Math and Reading through practice/studying, and if so how long would it take or what tips/advice do you reccomend. I need to get around 1300 total out of 1600.

Thank you,
Frustated SAT Student

Yes, anyone (even people without GPAs) can get a score of 1300. It depends on their testing strategy and knowledge. I say this because GPA does not always measure intelligence-often times it measures work ethic. I know some kids who had awful GPAs and AMAZING SATs.

Best of luck! (and remember the SAT is one test don’t stress if you do not get your dream score-you probably won’t even remember your score a year from now)

Yes, you can. How long would it take depends on what score you are starting with. I recommend concentrating on official practice tests only. There are no good duplicates out there. The best tips are in Barron’s 2400 book (at least for CR). Learn all the words from both Direct Hits books and Essential 500 words. Math preparation material depends on the score you are starting with.

^ i agree… but don’t start with barron’s 2400, until u hit 1900/2400 or sth… rlly it’ll get u depressed :stuck_out_tongue:
plus, it’s math techniques are really tedious and not that useful if you hadn’t finished even alg2 in school… ask me

So, yes, all depends on the score you start with and your weaknesses/strength points

wish u the best XD
