Can you get rescinded for edu prep that fell through?

so my school does a few trips that’s are environmental science related and a big one is a trip to Costa Rica where we work with turtle rescue projects and mangrove reforestation and it will be the week after I graduate. I put it as an educational prep as it’s done through a program called eco teach. Unfortunately, not many people have signed up and it might fall through. If I were to get accepted to Berkeley or another UC and they find this out, would I be rescinded? I’ve talked to advisors at CNR and they said the research trips my school takes us on are very impressive to be on my application and I’m worried since this is such a big one it may be a factor to my acceptance.

I don’t see how the trip being cancelled due to lack of participation would be held against you. When you applied, I assume you had signed up for the trip and honestly believed you would be going. If they somehow check or want follow up, you can provide them with some proof that it was cancelled, if that is the case. Stuff happens - you going on this trip is an opportunity - not necessarily a predictor of success as a Cal student. I would think that GPA/test scores would be a better predictor of that, and that would be what they would base your admissions on.
