Mankind is often referred to as social animal which means that people need to live in the environment where they can interact with each other. People often live in a society or group with others similar to them. However, spending time with people does not always bring positive effects. One can get hurt from what other people said, or care too much of others and damage their own lives. Therefore, spending time by oneself is often needed because it can help one to look back upon oneself and make wise decisions. The examples of Walt Disney and Vincent Van Gogh support the notion.
Walt Disney is well known for pioneer of cartoon film and creator of Disneyland. As a beginner of cartoonist, he worked at Pesmen-Rubin Art Studio. Even though the work was tedious there, Walt Disney worked hard believing that he was working toward his dream. There, he met his life-long friend, Ubbe Eert Iwerks. However, he got fired about 2 years later because the movie he made didn’t do well in the box office. He decided to create his own studio with Ubbe Eert Iwwerks and named Iwerks-Disney Studio. Managing the studio wasn’t easy task. He had to close his studio several times as a result of lack of resources. And ultimately, when the film he worked on didn’t get to publish, he needed to close the studio due to lack of money to pay the rent of the rooms. Despite several failures, he didn’t give up and set up another studio in his uncle’s garage. As he worked alone, he got interested in the mouse he fed and created children’s favorite character, Mickie Mouse. Since he was able to have time by himself and think thoroughly about the new ideas he can draw, he was able to created Mickie Mouse.
Vincent Van Gogh is a well-known Dutch painter. However, throughout his life, he remained poor and unknown. After deciding to focus on art, he went to see his uncle, Anton Malive, who was the painter also. He learned the basic art techniques under his uncle. As he became arrogant that he sold one art piece, he ignored his uncle’s advice on art and often caused a fight. Later, as he became unable to concentrate on art in his house, he moved to his brother’s house. It wasn’t only the uncle who didn’t like Van Gogh’s picture. People and critics didn’t agree with Van Gogh’s art and often criticized that his art piece is gloomy and doesn’t fit the mood of exhibition. He wanted a place where he could only concentrate on art without any disturbance from others and decided to live with his friend Galiglin, who he thought had same opinion with him. At first, they were harmonious. Nevertheless, as the time progressed, they started to fight over beliefs in art. There, too, Van Gogh wasn’t able to paint well. At the end of his life, he was sent to the asylum and spent every day drawing as always but now alone. As he was able to spend time alone without having any troubles with people, he created many masterpieces such as Starry Night which was sold at 400 francs.
In conclusion, spending time alone can help people to not only concentrate on themselves but also improve their skills. Albert Einstein once said, “I live in that solitude which is painful in youth, but delicious in the years of maturity.” As a youth, solitude may be distressing because one can develop social and communication skills by hanging out with peoples, but as they grow up, solitude can help them to concentrate on their work and yield the masterpiece in the field of their career.

Problems with grammar and spelling (ex. *Mickey Mouse, *a social animal).

I don’t think your examples really prove your point. What does Walt Disney’s perseverance have to do with being around other people? From your writing, it doesn’t even sound like he was “alone”–he was in his uncle’s garage.
