<p>I have recently graduated high school this Friday and I need help with my future. My guidance counselors have been no help and I am very lost. My ultimate goal in life is to study ovarian cancer and find a cure. I figured I could do this after I became an ovarian cancer doctor. So, I wanted to know if there were any special ovarian cancer programs out there for undergraduates. I know that some colleges have expedite programs in different areas , but are there any for ovarian cancer? Also are there any colleges that offer undergraduate admissions into their cancer colleges. I would prefer something on the east coast.</p>
<p>I think the answer is the same one you got two years ago when you said you wanted to study genetics - pick a college with a good fundamental biology program, do very well in it, and then apply to either medical school or graduate school (or to a dual MD/PhD program). I don’t think that any college is going to have a program that specific at the undergraduate level.</p>
<p>Another strategy would be to find out who the leading researchers are in then field and find out where they teach. However, even if you do this, it is unlikely (though not impossible) you’d be allowed to participate in that research as an undergraduate.</p>
<p>You said you just graduated from high school - did you not apply to any colleges during your senior year? <p>You aren’t going to find a college that specializes in ovarian cancer. However, if you attend a strong research university, you will likely be able to find an internship that will cater to this. Any strong schools in the sciences will have this.</p>
