How is academic excellence, diversity and respect important for developing such leadership? Is it a good idea to include problems which my country or the world faces and then write how these types of leadership can facilitate people in finding solutions? Also, I don`t understand what “diversity” means in this context. </p>
<p>As long as you’re identifying “the needs of your country and the world” and then showing how those types of leadership will eventually meet those needs, you’re answering the first part of the prompt. </p>
<p>And as for the second question, you could interpret it to be how diversity within a team or group of leaders is important (diversity being anything including racial/ethnic, gender, socioeconomic, and diversity of styles/ideas/types of leaders). Or you could respond to how living in a diverse background (growing up in a diverse community, going to a diverse college, experiencing another culture through travel abroad, etc.) will give someone the skills to become a good leader.</p>
