She will likely want to major in Psychology and or Astronomy and her stats are as follows:

6 honors/AP classes (2 current, 4 completed), got a 4 on the AP human test and 5’s on AP Psych and AP english
EC’s not great but is currently tutoring needy children once a week in a homework club and has various other not long terms community service things she has done, she has had a part time job for the past four months but the business just closed.
We live in California and she is applying to Cal Poly SLO, Santa Clara, USF, USC, UCSC, UCSB, UCDavis, Chico, UW, UOregon, Boulder, Tulane, U of Miami, SDSU, CSU Long Beach.
We understand that is it a reach for Tulane and USC but she really likes both of those schools a lot. I think she has a pretty good chance of getting into USF, UCSC, Chico, UOregon, Boulder and CSU Long Beach. Can you chance her on Cal Poly, Santa Clara, UCSB, UC Davis, SDSU, UW and U of Miami? She wants to apply to an east coast school as well but we are unfamiliar with them. She wants a school that is close to an urban area and has a diverse population and a decent program in Psychology and/or Astronomy. Any recommendations you have or comments about her stats would be much appreciated. Thanks!!!
Actually she is probably just going to stick with the Psychology major for now and not try to do Astronomy because it would require a lot of science so sorry, scratch the Astronomy and she will either be undeclared or Psychology for now.
Dickinson is a little in the small side compared to some of her other choices, but a good match for her stats and majors. They also give merit aid, and their need based aid claims to meet 96% of need. They do care about showing interest, so she should get on their mailing list, gonto any events in your area, and try the be specific in her app about why Dickinson. They also have an EA round – getting her act together to make that date shows interest.
If she is interested in the South East, look into University of South Carolina. They have a beautiful Greek Village. One thing I remember from our tour, they have a small, historical building on the Horseshoe that has a big telescope with nighttime classes (someone actually asked why the classes were at night-think about it haha!).
Villanova University is a nice mid sized school, not far from Philadelphia. Also the University of Delaware might appeal to your D, medium sized, beautiful campus in large suburban area. Main Street runs through the center of campus, so lots of great shops and restaurants, movie theater, etc. are within a short walk. It also has regional rail and Amtrak stops nearby, and is about 1 hour from Philadelphia and about 2 hours from NYC and DC. There is also good bus service in the area, and there are lots of seasonal trips to shop or see shows in NYC, which are also popular with students.

A good school in a city for psych would be Univ of Rochester or Clark Univ. Rochester has Greek life, but not sure about Clark. Boston Univ and Syracuse might fit the bill
