My sister joined the National Society of High School Scholars and wants to leave so I was wondering can you leave? She’s been looking it up for a while and still hasn’t found an answer.
To “leave” implies some depth of entrance. A NSHSS member basically gets on a list and NSHSS gets to deposit your money and pay themselves their salary. There are no meetings, only more mailings.
All your “sister” needs to do is never to mention that silly organization again. Strike any reference from her/your resume, your list of “awards” etc. Simply wipe it from your mind.
