<p>I’m interested in an engineering physics major with a focus in mechanical engineering and a minor in environmental studies. But the engineering physics is offered at the school of engineering and environmental studies is offered at the college of arts and sciences. I’m confused.</p>
<p>You’ll have to check the university in question. Each one may have different policies.</p>
<p>Official minors may not be all that important anyway[li]. You take electives in your out-of-major area of interest as you like; if they happen to fulfill a minor or second major that that’s nice, but it may not be worth going out of your way to do so.</p>[/li]
<p>[*]Though since you are in Florida, Florida State University does require every student to have a minor, although minor requirements seem to be relatively small compared to minors at many other universities.</p>
<p>Every school is potentially different in how they treat/allow minors. Some schools have them, some do not, some allow multiple minors, some allow only one, most will probably allow a minor in another college/school within the university, others may not. </p>
<p>They only legitimate source for your answer, is the school you plan to enroll. Ask them. Don’t ever rely on CC for answers to enrollment policies that are always unique to a particular university.</p>
