Can you opt-in to Summer Freshman Class?

I am interested in opting in to the Summer Freshman class.

I have been admitted regularly to Plan II, but I think it would be fun to spend the summer in Austin (and with the AP credits, I would be a declared junior as I entered in the fall).

I think it would be a great experience, and it would let me not have to overload my first two semesters. Plus it would be summer in Austin! AND I could get football tickets when juniors do!

So if anyone knows I'd like to hear.

woah so you're only gonna spend two years at UT?

and yea u can i had questions about that earlier this week and called admissions. you have to send them a letter.

No, I would be spending 4 years at UT, I would just have the credit numbers to start as a junior (basically the entire core curriculum).

With a Plan II major you have to stay 4 years. But I could take 12 hours most semesters and I would have a lot of time to do a double major if I want to.

Okay I'll call admissions tomorrow and see what they say.
