Can you phone to ask your admissions decision?

I mean after the designated date that the admissions decision has been released on your MIT website account.

Transfer admissions students don’t have a MIT website account, and I’d rather not wait until the mail comes in.

In past years, Admissions would not accept telephone calls revealing admissions decisions for some period of time after mailing the decisions.

Also, I believe transfer decisions are not released at the same time as first-year admissions decisions. Could someone verify?

Consider it Verified. I am applying for transfer admission for Fall 08 and the deadline for materials is 3/15 according to [MIT Transfer Admissions](http://web.mit.edu/admissions/transfer/apply.html#q5)

Their typical time for mailing our decisions is mid-May I believe.

Good luck, but be patient.

No, I know that decisions are released in May. My question was whether I could phone in May to find out, rather than having to wait for the mail.

I believe mootmom’s assessment is still valid. But you could always call and ask now if you want to find out for certain.
