Can you take a middle stance on an ACT prompt (acknowledging both sides, but arguing that neither good and providing an alternate solution or picking one solution, but only on a conditional?)
I know you can’t do this on the SAT (well you can, but if you want a high scores you shouldn’t) but can you do this on the ACT?

(I.E. a prompt asks you whether taking away vending machines is a good idea to prevent obesity but you argue that its too drastic because teenagers are always hungry and replacing soda and candy with granola bars and juice/water seems like a better solution)

EDIT: Sorry about the ‘wiritng’ typo—it’s a new keyboard.
