Can you see yourself being there for 4 more years?

Just wondering if it was a normal thing for college students to see themselves being at their colleges for 4 more years (as in not wanting to transfer), taking into account everything about the college such as location, the type of students you’re surrounded by, the social life, the types of classes/professors, the “feel”, etc. (not taking into account homesickness, however, because that’ll pass anyway unless it’s extremely bad homesickness)

Obviously everybody sees downsides to their college experiences, but are you tolerant enough of these downsides because you’re happy with everything else, or do you look at your school and doubt whether you could be happy or at least, not dissatisfied there for 4 more years?

I would stay at my school for eight more years, lol, and I’m a sophomore. I see no downsides and I couldn’t imagine going to school anywhere else, I would never transfer. I do wish the weather was a little better I guess but other than that I love everything about my school. It’s absolutely perfect.

@RoxSox: Good to hear. I will be applying to UW soon.

Then is it a bad thing that I’ve only been here a month and already can’t stand a lot of things about being here? There are things that annoy me literally the minute I walk out of my dorm room.

It’s not that I’m homesick at all, because I’m not. I’m so glad to be away from home. But I can’t stand the type of people I’m around, the largeness of classes, and being in this type of environment, basically.

i’m only like 3 weeks into school but i can totally imagine myself staying here for 4 years.

I’ve been here for almost two months and I absolutely love it here. I definitely see myself here for another four years and one of my friends and I have already made plans for making sure we get football tickets for next year and where we want to live on campus.

I didn’t even really look at my school that much when I chose it, but I’m really glad that I did.

I’ve been at my school for going on a year and a half now and i’m transferring either this semester or at the end of the year, but I AM glad that i’ve stayed as long as I have. I think that if you truly do not like the school then there’s nothing wrong with leaving it, but I think that sometimes people only focus on the bad and never try to see any good.

Been here for a year and yes, I can. I kind of want to hurry up and finish so I can get a real job and earn some real money (honestly, that’s all so I can buy a car), but this isn’t exactly bad living.
