Can you use non-CCC classes for IGETC?

<p>I’m taking my math class at UCB’s extension school instead of at a CCC. It’s fully transferable and equivalent to the same math class at UCB. So I’ll definitely get credit for it at any UC that I go to. </p>

<p>But to get certified for IGETC, do I have to use all CCC classes? Because if I do, it looks like I’ll have to complete the UC’s individual breadths which would mean that I would have to take additional classes, even though I’ve already taken a ton of GEs.</p>

<p>IGETC certification is up to your CCC. They certify it, not the UCs. So you’ll have to ask a counselor (and maybe more than one just to be sure) if they will let you use the class(es) for IGETC.</p>
