Can your Prof teach?

College Life

Let’s face it! The prof at many of the top schools are awful at teaching the material. I can’t believe this but the teachers in college are worse then the ones in high school. I expected better but have heard the exact opposite-since all they care about is research and themselves…

Does your prof suck at teaching ? Or can your prof actually teach the material such that the class can understand?

Good math teacher, the other ones are alright…(if i hadn’t seen the material before I would be in such trouble)

Some of each, but many more on the good end of the spectrum.

I guess I have been very lucky - I have liked all of my professors except for one. And it’s not that he couldn’t teach… he just had peculiar priorities. He wanted to make sure that the bottom 1/4 of the class did not get lost, and told everyone else to do outside reading on their own if they didn’t feel challenged…

this is what happens when you go to a big name school that doesn’t care about undergrads.
