Canada Florida Linkage Institute

Background: there is a Canada/Florida Linkage Institute that annually awards tuition waivers to Canadian students studying in any one of Florida universities. This allows the student to pay the “Florida” tuition rate vs. the International rate. The website says it is competitive etc…

Does anyone know how competitive or familiar it is and how difficult it is to get this? My son has been recruited for a club hockey team (ACHA) and this was brought up to him.

According to this, the selection process is highly competitive. Of course that shouldn’t dissuade your kid from applying. Good luck! :four_leaf_clover:

Up to 25 awards available for each Linkage Institute

It is kind of obscure in that there are no stats anywhere as to how many apply.

You could try contacting them directly and find out more.
