i have dreamed of going into Stanford or MIT, and i have to have a good SAT, in my first ever trial in grade 10 last year i got 1800, then in Jan 2011 i got 1970 but in this June … i didnt do at my goal’s level (2200). I went into Stand By regsitration and the info isnt sent till tommorrow. Through the reason that i dont want Both colleges to see this plateau or drop in score, and other financial reasons … can i deactivate the credit card number and get a win win situation were the test is cancelled and the problem with the credit card is resolved? (Would this drop even make a difference to them? and is this my 3rd test or second, because in my school they say that 10th grade SAT doesnt matter) and i know that ill be studying ALOT in summer so i would be able to get a good score in october SAT … any help on what i could do?

with an 1800 and 1970 on past tests, it won’t get you into an Ivy, but sure.

even if i get a 2200+ on october?

and is there any problem or risk if i tell the bank to reject CB’s request when they attempt to get the payment?

You do realize that you can just cancel the test?

paying is also a small issue because an avoidable 106$'s is alot. And what about the comment on past tests… wouldnt good improvement give better chances?

[SAT Score Choice - Choose the Scores You Want To Send To Colleges](<a href=“The SAT – SAT Suite | College Board”>Send SAT Scores to Colleges - SAT Suite | College Board)

With score choice, if you get a 2200 you could just not submit the other scores (and for those schools I definitely wouldn’t).

what about the credit card cancellation thing … the SAT teacher supervising us in the testing center told me that there could be some blacklisting or something like that because of the failed transaction

mmm stanford requires you send all scores, idk about MIT
