Will a really bad score on any section make my application look unappealing if I manage to eventually reach my best composite score goal? I know on math especially, I scored atleast ~150 points lower than what I get on practice tests and I know I can definitely do MUCH better. Why did I do so poorly? Because I kept analyzing my first math section in which, for some reason, I just got overwhelmed and screwed up(i think I left 4 blank). And from that point on, it was like a domino effect. I kept analyzing my poor performances on the section I just finished instead of the section I was doing and lost focus/track of time.

However, I’m curious as to how I actually did because I still think there is hope for my writing section. But I’m worried that, eventhough my top schools have implicitly stated that they review the best composite score, the horrendous math and reading score will look kind of iffy. Also, does it really make a big difference is I take it 3 times and not 2 times? Are 3 attempts too many?

Sorry for sounding like like an overwrought prick…but I know I screwed up badly and it aches me to think of the tremendous blow these scores will have on my confidence.

colleges usually say they will take your highest score. some even say they take your highest score from each section and add them together. so unless you tihnk you got like a 500 on one of the sections, then i don’t thikn you need to cancel. especially if you’re a junior (which i assume u r)

it can’t be exploitative - art isn’t taking advantage of society, society isn’t taking advantage of art. and nowhere in the passage did it say that people were using art to see what they wanted. it said that people did not like novelty - they didn’t like it, but they certainly weren’t using it for anything. the author never brought up any instances of that sort of behavior. the author, did however, say that art and its individualism disrupted society and destroyed it. i would say that that is adversarial - art is against society - it tears it down. society is against individualistic art - it tries to suppress novelty.

wrong thread lol ^_^

yea for real i just read that and was like huhh???
