Does it look really bad if I cancel or withhold an exam grade?

How would a school know that you have done so? They have no way of telling whether you never took the AP exam or you chose not to self-report it. In either case, I don’t think that they would hold it against you. It is not going to help, but I don’t think that it will hurt (much) either.

If you cancel it according to the College Board rules, the college will never know you took the exam. The only way it could “look bad” is if you took the AP course but you don’t take the test. I think it is better to take the test and show you tried. There are so many other factors more important for admissions that overall, its always better to take the chance and don’t cancel the exam.

Thanks for the input :)!

I guess I’ll see how it goes then…
