Cancelling SIR, Orientation, Registered Classes

Well, first of all, I was accepted to both UCLA and USC. UCLA’s acceptance was first and I didn’t hear from USC until late July. Because of this, I submitted my SIR for UCLA, signed up and went to Orientation as well as registered for classes for UCLA.

However, I want to major in Accounting and USC would definitely be the top choice for me.

Would I be able to cancel my SIR and registration at UCLA. I know that I won’t get my money back for my deposit and Orientation fees. But, what about the classes that I already registered for ?

Thanks for you help guys. . .

If you wanted to go to USC, I believe you could cancel your SIR and registration at UCLA. You might want to notify them of your going to USC.

Just call or email the registrar at UCLA and tell them that you got off of a wait list at another school and that you won’t be attending. This happens, no big deal. They’ll take your name off the course lists and that’ll leave room for another student who registers later. Good luck at USC!

Do what entomom said. Not a big deal.
