<p>Obama is speaking right down the road from us and DS will be going to see him speak. He is actually a McCain supporter, but wants to see Obama speak for several reasons, most importantly is how historical it is to see a presidential candidate. Second to make sure that he is right in his decision to support McCain. Third his gf is an Obama supporter and wanted to take her as a date night.</p>
<p>What’s more interesting is Bill Clinton spoke at our HS on Saturday. The HS graduating class is under 300 kids, so it is not a big school.</p>
<p>Please realize this is a small town @35K people and one of the largest cities is @90 min. away, so I find it interesting that both showed up, in 00 and 04 nobody even came near this area.</p>
<p>My belief the reason they are coming here is because of th War. Our town is home to a military base, with 25% of them deployed right now, in the past 18 months our operational squadrons have been deployed on a rotational basis for 8 mos (4 on 12 off). Even with that the state typically does not vote Dem, so I think they are trying to get the word out up close and personal</p>
