Candlelight vigil for missing WWU freshman

[Local News | Candlelight vigil Wednesday night for missing WWU student from Auburn | Seattle Times Newspaper](http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2013025521_missing30m.html)

Praying he’s ok.

Oh EK, I hate these stories. The story says he sent 6,000 text messages last month but since Sunday he has sent none. I don’t understand why they can’t ping (or whatever you call it) his cel phone and try to locate him.

^^^
from the local paper:

I am praying for this young man and his family.

Thanks Greta. So I guess if the battery is dead or the phone is off you can’t ping.

They still havent found anything- my D is coming home Sat- I hope they will have info by then.

The news on college campuses this week has been overwhelming-- WWU, Seton Hall, Rutgers…

…the University of Texas, also.

And Villanova. Student was killed by a driver in a runaway stolen vehicle - his friend (both in a VW jetta) is in critical condition. Heartbreaking. And they haven’t caught the guy…he ran away from the vehicle on foot.

After not hearing from D for a week and seeing all these news I was really happy to get a text from her. I knew she was OK, but still! My heart goes out to the parents and friends of these kids…

Uh, oh…an unidentified body was just found in a pond by the waterfront :(

Is that the “elderly” woman with a gunshot wound or a new one?
( is it just me or does 60-65 seem a little young for “elderly”)

Sounds like it is new remains.
Not happy news for anyone.

The ME has been called to the site immediately, to determine if the body is that of Dwight Clark. Sort of implies that the body is that of a young male.

"Earlier, police were looking into a message scrawled on a poster for Clark to see if it’s credible.

The message, written on a poster hanging outside a store, said Clark had been stabbed to death."

From the Times’ article.

Dwight’s mother has been notified of the body according to a Seattle news site. This doesn’t look good.

A boy from my D1 high school disappeared during his freshman year at Tulane after a Mardi Gras party & his body wasn’t found for months ( coincidentally similar body type to Dwight Clark).

Very tragic- but better to finally have an idea of what happened than never know.

The body has been identified as Dwight Clark. So very tragic and sad.

I have to admit, when “pinging” his cell didn’t work, I suspected it was under water. We had a hs girl go missing here two years ago, the first thing the police did was try to ping her cell phone. No response. She was found 48 hours later, drowned in a swamp (she had been at a drinking party in the woods and wandered off on her own). Her cell phone was under water.

^ A blank text was apparently sent from his cell phone the night he disappeared,… from the downtown area. Whether Dwight sent it, or someone else did, will never be known I guess.

Oh my god. So sad…

This is sad news- so sorry for his friends and family- I hope they find out more about that poster writer.
