i already applied UCs and i am so afraid i will fail my BIO class, if i Fail that, i will only have 58.5 transferable units, what should i do??? don’t tell me try to not get a F from BIO!!

it’s late, i worry it is too late to try to pick up a 1.5 unit P.E. class. That being said let the admissions dept know as soon as you fail that you have failed the class. Express to them you intend to retake it or a similar class over summer.

For the sake of GPA, I suggest dropping the class with a W, if that option is still available to you. If it is not, I’d say dedicate your hours to tutors on- and off-campus to help you as best they can.

I am sorry to hear about your dilemma. Just be as proactive as possible going forward to make sure the UC knows you will right this wrong.

Hope this helps.

Best advice would be to stick it out and get that grade up to a C, or else. Wishing you the best of luck! If you can’t, let them know asap, but be prepared to be revoked, unless you of course have a good reason. [:

you should probably be more concerned about the F than the units…
After they see the F, even if you did have enough units, they’ll probably revoke your admission. Sorry man, just work as hard as humanly possible to get that C!

Remember you still get the credits even if you get a D. that sucks for your gpa but if your TAG transfer youll be fine. If not… try to pull off a C, or D

try doing a “section” transfer. its where you can transfer from 1 class to another (the same subject) but with a different teacher. Say your work schedule is too conflicting and pick another teacher/class. In my class you have to get it signed by the dean, i dont know how it will be for you. I did that for speech and got an A :)

same! i totally want to drop a class but i will go under my unit limit.
just try to stick with it! maybe you can add a GE class now for pass/fail so it wont hurt your GPA as long as you pass it

You won’t get credit if you get a D.

“comfycouch” is misinformed.

This really calls for some extreme measures. I would go and talk to your professor during office hours and explain the situation you are in. Ask the professor if there is anything you could do to get a “C” in the class. This is where it would help if you’re a female and the professor is a male…JK. Anyway, but yeah, talk to your professor and see if they will hook you up in anyway…its worth a try.

talk to someone at admissions. I was in the same situation and what a counselor told me was that if i got a D i would still get the units but i would have to retake it when i transferred. I meant to say you will get units not credits. sorry about that
