I have torn the house apart looking for SAT score report from 4 years ago. Son needs copy of scores for REU application. College Board will send a rush copy for an unreasonable fee. Any chance I might be able to get them from his former high school or present university?

Some high schools put them on the transcript; some do not. It’s worth calling the high school to ask.

I believe most university’s admissions retention policy is 7 years.

However- they may also charge a fee. You will have better luck with your S walking into the admissions office of his U than you calling- if he gets an intern willing to look up the scores and print out a copy they may not charge him. If you request “a report” there will most likely be a fee.

Thanks, I will send him to admissions tomorrow and see what he can find out. I would prefer to go through the University. Late bloomer who had so so grades in high school but is doing great in college. I don’t mind paying a fee. I just don’t want to send $75+ to College Board.

He needs SAT scores for an REU? That’s very odd, I did two REUs and they never asked for SAT scores.

I found it odd too. Other son did a couple and neither asked for them.

D2 is in her second year of applying to REUs, and though none have asked for SAT scores, they’re all a little different so I guess some colleges must think they’re still relevant.
