Can't seem physically weak in an essay?

I heard a story about a girl who wrote her personal statement about how she overcame anorexia and became a stronger person. Despite her outstanding essay and above average numbers, she was denied admission to her dream college because the officers were concerned of admitting a student with history of anorexia in fear it may resurface while she was a student at their college. I heard this from one of my college advisers, but I’m not entirely sure it’s true…

I wanted to write about blood as my personal statement; I used to get a lot of bloody noses as a kid and recently I was informed I have anemia(lack of iron in blood, nothing too serious but it made a huge impact on my current lifestyle).

But now I am unsure if I should, since the officers may see me as physically weak and deny my admission…

Are my concerns silly? Please help!
Thank you

Others will have different opinions, but personally, I would find another subject rather than an ongoing physical issue. Some people are squeamish about blood, in particular. My gut says no on this one. I would love to know what others think though.

It was going to be about how fragile yet strong life is and how the sight of blood doesn’t faze me. But yeah, I think I’ll probably toss the idea :/
