I cant stand waiting… can you?

here’s a link to a rough rubric of UCSD’s point system. I don’t know if it’s 100% accurate, but you can chance yourself.

[ucsd score](http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=0AgZdcuCvC25ncEtCMXlENWlRbl84d3FINWJoTWtoWnc&gid=0)

I think you are 99.9% in, but you will only get 100% when the decision finally comes out
I can’t wait either, but what else can you do ???

In honesty, I’ve seen so many ranges of GPAs getting in and not getting in it baffles me. I’m pretty sure the school or district you graduate HS from has a role in determining your admission. For example, I’ve seen friends in an LA school district with a UC weighted of ~3.3 get in whereas friends in my OC district not get in with UC weighted GPA’s of ~3.8-4.0 (with comparable SAT scores between the two districts).

Your stats are pretty good though. so hang in there until admissions are announced ;).

I would say you’re good too

Schw1ng, I really agree with your point. I have looked in my schools scattergrams (Private Catholic School with a great reputation in the district) and 50% of the admittants get admitted in the 3.7-3.95 range with about a 1850 SAT.

So yes, I do think it matters where you graduate from HS.

I went to UCD…I’d say you are in…if you live in CA. I didn’t realize how tough it is for out-of-staters to get into a UC…until my daughter is now applying from NJ…the threshhold is insane

They actually give you points for going to a low tier high school…

That’s fair. Inflated GPA + Easy ELC = 300 bonus points for having it “tougher”.

I heard that UCSD decisions might come as early as this weekend …

Same here, there are rumors that UCLA is sending out their decisions on Friday, March 11th. But I believe most of us should know decisions on the 15th for UCSD, UCD, UCI, UCLA.

Edit: Thanks Lauren

*Friday, March 11

thanks for the insight! can anyone also chance me for LA and berk? I know its prolly a reach… but is there any hope for me?

supaslinky, you are 99.9%, you will know if you get to 100% in the next couple of days …

not to sure if California scholarship federation is academic prep program [sounds like it from the name though]… but you are about on par with me for points… which is awesome!! [oh im also applying, lol…]

you jump in SAT’s, and i jump in GPA… its literally almost the same :)

lol why cant UCSD just accept us all and not give us such a hard time…

lol why cant UCSD just accept us all and not give us such a hard time…

then we would not have suffer enough, hee hee hee

“Pay me now or pay me later”. If everyone gets in, then there will be a very tough weed out program. Which way do you prefer?
