Id love to go to Upenn but it seems like a stretch…whats my chance of getting into an Ivy? Is there anything I could/should do in the time remaining? Im receiving minimal support from my parents… and since you’ve read through the whole thing please reply ^ ^ thanks

Tbh, your chances are low, but it depends I guess on your essays and your SAT scores.

As for the Asian thing, unfortunately in America being Asian hurts people’s chances of getting into uni because every Asian scores perfect on the SATs and seems to do very well. It’s annoying, but true. (I’m half-Asian…and it’s a beyatch.)

apply ed and ur in. A friend of mine applied ED with stats similar to yours (she’s chinese) and she had almost 0 clubs and no sports. Either her essays were ridiculously good, or you’re in ED

being asian does somewhat hurt chances of getting into a university. because as someone mentioned above, many have very very good stats therefore the avg stat/caliber shifts up so when an admissions officer sees an asian with a lower than avg stat, they don’t give them much importance. this is usually the case for the higher ranked schools
