Cap21 for International Students

Hey everyone I was just doing some research on the Cap21 conservatory and the info is a little sparse so I was wondering if someone could help answer this. Does anyone know if they accept applications from International Students (From Canada) because there is not indicator on their website that they do.

I believe the cap 21 program has been replaced. Are you referring to the program that used to be part of Tisch at NYU?

There are two things and not sure which you are referring to.

NYU/Tisch no longer offers CAP21 studio and the MT studio is called New Studio on Broadway. They indeed accept international students.

CAP21 is a two year conservatory, not affiliated with NYU/Tisch (for incoming classes) and I am sure they accept international students from Canada. When in doubt, call the program directly.

Hello!

As for the CAP21 Two-year professional MT program, this is the answer I got from the director of admissions:

"You should know that currently CAP 21 is unable to offer students the I-20 student visa. Unless you have dual citizenship you will not be able to stay in the country long enough to complete the program without a student visa. "
