If your car has a KARR device installed, you may want to have it removed (a firmware update is now available, although it may not necessarily protect against additional vulnerabilities discovered in the future). If you are considering buying a car that has it installed (dealers sometimes install them intending to make theft off their lots more difficult), insist on removal (not just “deactivation”) before buying.
