car rentals

question,

does anybody know what an average car rental price is for a daily rental in myrtle beach for a small car?

i have coupons i can use from avis, budget, enterprise, alamo, national, and hertz so it doesn’t really matter what the company is, but would anyone happen to have a ball park figure?

I’ve rented before but it was from Enterprise and to drive from PA to FL and back with unlimited miles, so I’m sure we paid a LOT more than what it would be just for a day rental.

Best way to figure is to try booking online – and if you use something like expedia you can get lots of comparisions.

fendergirl, are you 25? That’s the minimum age for most car rentals. I think
Enterprise is the exception. Allowed, but you pay a higher price. I agree with cnp55, if you put the info into expedia, sidestep, orbitz, you can get several quotes.

oh yeah, i forgot that you could get the prices on expedia. every time i use that site its just for flights and hotels. good idea cnp :)

kathie, yeah i know, but not everyone on my trip is under 25 so it would be fine regardless, i’m just trying to figure out how much it would cost.

i’m debating if it would be less money to drive a sep. car down and pay that gas, or just to rent an extra car for the day or two that we need an extra car once we’re there.

Try using Johhnyjet http://www.johnnyjet.com/home.asp</a> This search engine will allow you to see all quotes from Expedia - Orbitz -Prineline etc.

You can also just go straight to the web sites of the companies (Avis, etc.) to get prices. I’ve found them more reliable for pricing than using third-party sites and they show you any specials they might have going.
