She was homeless and living in her car. She had been attempting to find a place to park the car so she could go to sleep, but was repeatedly run off by security guards. Sleep deprived and under stress, she snapped. I don’t say this to excuse her, merely to assert that there doesn’t need to be any sinister concealed story.

“It is a horrible story, but why do you think the public is immediately entitled to know what she said before the legal process even gets started?”
we found immediately in the charleston shooting as well as the planned parent shooting.
cardinal fang…what does the sheriff not feel comfortable telling us? he flat out stated she made a statement to the cause but “uncomfortable” repeating it. why is that? the police did not wait to say what was said in charleston or planned parenthood.
Well- they are now. Deal with it. When they feel the curious public needs to know every word, they will release a statement.
umm …mom of wild child I think consistency is important …the authorities should not edit the crimes of some because of political correctness. that is not the job of the sheriff and it should bother you .
Why are so you so certain that the authorities are editing the crimes of some because of political correctness? First, she hasn’t been convicted of a crime yet. Second, on what evidence do you base your assumption? I can think right off the top of my head of several completely valid reasons why the sheriff may decide not to release the accused’s statement. And none of them has anything to do with political correctness.
Lastly, there is value to consistency in the justice system, but until you know for a fact what the accused’s statement was, you have no idea what rule of discretion is being applied.
Hayden is correct- You have absolutely NO idea why more information has not been released. Every situation is different, and consistency is really not important at all. Doing a thorough investigation, preserving evidence and honoring the victims are much more important.
yes I do…he said he was uncomfortable!–nothing to do with preserving evidence. you know what is going on here. you may support the editing of info… but stop playing dumb.
also… you are ok with planned parenthood statements being released as well as Charleston shooter? those being released should bother you too …methinks you do not have an issue with those statements exposed pre trial. I do not pick and choose how I think a case should be handled based on political beliefs …hopefully neither do you!
Well, I’m a lawyer and I’m perfectly ok with trusting the decision- until I have reason not to. I suspect you are just looking for something to get your panties in a wad over.
Who knows why the sheriff won’t release it? It’s not like the criminal justice system is a huge, monolithic entity, it’s made up of individuals, who have differing opinions. I’m sure we’ll hear the statement soon enough.
For some reason I feel sorry for this woman. That dead look on her face, the child in her car. There is something so incredibly wrong, whether it’s drugs, depression, mental illness. I don’t usually feel sorry for the criminals, just the victims.
What in the world are you fantasizing this woman said, zobroward? Allahu Akbar? Kill the White People?
