i know its a bit short but those are the basics essentially

My only advice to you is to write GREAT essays, get your teachers to critique them, and get GREAT recs. I’m bad at chancing, so I’ll only give you my 2 cents. It seems that those 2 things were really an important element for the ED’s. Also try to present yourself very well in your interview if you get one.

my interviews have gone phenomenal, they interviewers said they were genuinely impressed, particularly with the georgetown and princeton summer schools. but i feel like that might just be a formality, no matter how interested they were

meh, I wouldn’t think that it was just a formality. They would just say “nice to meet you” otherwise. But the interview isn’t the only aspect. Make sure you are also taking the hardest courses that your school offers and keep up your grades. If you can show them that you still have All A’s your 2nd senior semester, then your chances will rise greatly.
