hello

ok, so i pretty much had my mind set on becoming a dentist and applying into a seven year dental program w/ automatic admission into dental school as freshman.

but, i am not good at chemistry. it takes a lot of pain and effort to get good grades. and the thing is my passion is geography. but i have no clue what kind of job i could have with a major in geography. i didn’t even know i liked the subject until i took a class this semester. i know its not good to jump to conclusions, but somehow the subject matter instantly clicked in my head, and i find it extremely interesting and relevant [i also did really well in my history and economics courses] we are studying world geography- but its basically like how the earth we live on influenced history up till today!

but i don’t think i’d have a stable financial future and i want to become a dentist a) because it is an extremely clean job b) because i want to use my skills to help underprivileged people in Pakistan c) use my money to contribute to society

^ok so i know that sounds too philanthropic to be true, but that really is my intention. my mom also started working for the same reason- over half her income goes towards different causes that we as a family are interested in.

so. help me. i really need help. i feel like there’s a giant fork in a road, and im a deer staring straight into the headlights.

thanks, bumble
